The WaterCop Pro System is a whole house water leak detection system and automatic water shut off valve. It installs on the main water line just as the classic system does but relies on wireless or optional hard-wired flood sensors you can place near water outlets and appliances. This version of the WaterCop system has addressable sensors, which are assigned numbers during installation and can accommodate up to 45 MultiSense hub sensor transmitters per system. MultiSense hubs can also be used for integration of a Water Pressure Sensor installed in-line and/or a Rope Sensor for extended leak sensing coverage on floors, in cabinets or around appliances and sensitive items or electronics. The MultiSense Hub also has an onboard ambient temperature sensor preconfigured to trip at 45°F to prevent catastrophic leaks from freezing conditions.
When water comes in contact with any of the probe or rope sensors, that sensor not only sends a wireless signal back to the Control Panel and WaterCop valve to close the valve and shut off the water, but it also indicates which sensor triggered the alarm and displays it on the LCD screen on the Control Panel for easy leak locating.
Based on claims data and typical insurance requirements for protection, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND A MINIMUM of one single probe water sensor per bathroom, kitchen, water heater, washing machine and any other water drawing appliance or water outlet with your motorized valve purchase.
Signal repeaters may be necessary for applications where walls are thick concrete or limestone or where sensors will be farther than 250′ to 300′ away from the receiver in the Control Panel.
